The research project entitled “Exhibit su biofisica della vita in condizioni ambientali estreme“, financed by the MIUR as part of the Annual Projects (L.6/2000) D.D. 369/Rec. dated 06/26/2012 – PANN12_00677, is structured along the following lines:
- Section dedicated to an introduction on extremophiles;
- Section dedicated to tardigrades;
- Section dedicated to exobiology;
- Section dedicated to extreme environments:
- Section dedicated to the presentation of experimental evidence on the bioprotective efficacy of trehalose in extreme conditions;
- Section dedicated to an overview of trehalose applications.
The Exhibit was shown to the public permanently at the CISFA headquarters and toured to schools and municipalities in the Sicily and Calabria regions.
